when it's cold outside, the best things to do are ski all day and go to concerts at night. unfortunately, we haven't had as much snow as we would like for great skiing, so we're trying to make the most of the live music in town. but when the jackson hole snowboarder magazine had a big party last week at a local bar in town (the million dollar cowboy bar, for those who have been there), john and i opted not to go. turned out to be a stupid decision cause now i can't post pictures of us with the surprise celeb that made an appearance beat boxing on stage with the dj. who was that, you ask? oh, just justin timberlake. no big deal.

in other news, we went to hear a friend-of-a-friend's band, Katie Herzig & band, play at the mangy moose and it was great. they were opening up for brandi carlile, who was also AMAZING. for those who haven't heard her music, she sings even better live compared to her album. favorite song would currently be "the story." check it out.
