Christmas Is Here

On November 8, Belle Cose (the store I work for) had its annual Christmas Open House. What this really means is that the three days prior to the opening, the store was closed and we ran around like crazy people, tearing down the usual displays, cleaning up, and decorating for Christmas. We somehow miraculously filled the store with 8 fully decked out Christmas trees - including an upside down tree. I've never seen so much Christmas stuff per square foot before, or elves flying from the ceiling, and it's a bit overwhelming. It's also a little crazy to realize that I am going to be listening to Christmas music for the next 48 days....I go to sleep with "Jingle Bell Rock" in my head. But it is fun to see kids come in, wide-eyed and excited, and hear the threats from the parents a few steps behind, "Pleeeease don't touch anything!"
