Inaugural Ski Trip

Today was our trip to "the village" for a great day of skiing with our friends Brown and Annie. John, in his first day of skiing EVER, picked it up really quickly, and by the end of the day was "shredding the nar nar" like a local. The highlight of the day was definitely John's slick move where he slipped right before getting on the chair lift, and had to maneuver out of the way before being destroyed by the next chair lift. It was so impressive that it not only stopped the entire lift, but even brought the liftie out of his booth, giving John a thumbs up and a congratulatory remark "Sweet ninja roll dude." Ashley (who has finally discovered something she is better at than John) had her pride seriously wounded when she was given the award for the narliest "yard sale" - which basically means she was double ejected from both skis and face planted in the fresh "pow pow." Not only has John quickly picked up on skiing, but has equally picked up on the ski bum lingo. Seriously, he'll throw these sick phrases around in public. A lot.
